As a late diagnosed woman with ADHD, I found the assessment process hopeful, sad and affirming all at once - as did those closest to me who felt a much greater sense of understanding and knowing . The assessment with Dr Emma was made much easier thanks to her kind, compassionate and informative way of being. I felt so understood by her and a huge sense of gratitude for the way she looked at me as a whole individual and was able to hold all those parts. Highly recommended.

I can’t thank Dr Emma Field enough for her support throughout my ADHD assessment. From my first contact, everything was organised quickly and clearly, and I felt supported at every step. The assessment itself was thorough, professional and was done in an understanding and relaxed environment. Although the assessment lasted around three hours and covered a significant amount of detail, I never felt rushed or under pressure. Emma created a calm and supportive atmosphere throughout, making it easy to engage with what could otherwise have felt like an overwhelming process. Her approach helped me feel comfortable discussing my experiences and challenges openly. She delivered a comprehensive final report in a very quick timeframe post assessment, clearly capturing my history, assessment findings/diagnosis, and recommendations. She has also been available to discuss the recommendations and practical options post diagnosis, I've felt supported on navigating what comes next and understanding the outcomes of the assessment. I would highly recommend Dr Emma Field to anyone seeking an ADHD assessment. I’ve come out of the process with a much greater understanding of myself and the confidence to move forwards.

We would like to express our sincere appreciation for the ADHD and ASD assessment process undertaken by ADHD Scotland for our son. Throughout the entire assessment, the approach was genuinely person-centred, and both our son and ourselves felt heard, understood, validated, and supported at every stage. The team and Dr Emma in particular took the time to listen carefully to our son's experiences and our perspectives as parents, creating a welcoming, respectful, and supportive environment. The final assessment report is exceptionally clear, comprehensive, and easy to understand. It captures the complexity of our son's presentation while recognising his individual strengths, challenges, needs, and lived experiences. We have found the entire process to be professional, compassionate, and informative. The insights and recommendations provided have given us a much greater understanding of our son and will be invaluable in helping us support him moving forward. We would not hesitate to recommend ADHD Scotland to other families seeking assessment and support. With gratitude, Shearer Family (Edinburgh)

I had an appointment with Dr Emma Field regarding my previously undiagnosed ADHD. The appointment was very thorough and gave me the opportunity to really talk through and reflect on my symptoms. I felt everything was handled with the utmost care and professionalism. The diagnosis itself was delivered clearly, along with plenty of helpful information and resources.

Α great big thank you to Dr Emma Field who done my son’s ADHD assessment and made us feel completely comfortable from the get go. Myself who was very anxious and nervous became relaxed within minutes. My son most importantly, was made to feel comfortable enough that he was able to relax right into it. Emma is very easy to talk to and has no judgment at all which also made our experience easier. I had struggled at times to recall information from years back and Emma was very patient and understanding which took away that feeling of guilt. The report itself is very detailed. I can’t thank her enough that she’s gave us the answers we need and to finally get the correct help for my boy. Highly recommended 😊

Dr Emma Field is a compassionate and approachable person. Having used their service I would recommend making an appointment if you require to understand and get a personal ADHD diagnosis or similar assessment. Better understanding and adaptation will only assist.
